2010 - The Baltimore franchise was in a sorry state moving into the Twenty Luke Scott (4.08) -  7
Teens. They hadn't had a winning season in twelve years and most of those
years weren't even close. The O's averaged 71-91 during the stretch. Those Notable Events:
numbers were skewed down a bit because the Division was brutal with the
Yankees and Red Sox, but nonetheless, the Orioles weren't very good.  2014 - Baltimore deals away Jim Johnson, 31, to the A's in exchange for
infielder Jermile Weeks. Hard to explain this one. Johnson had just saved

RF - Nick Markakis, 26, excellent all around player Also, Showalter felt he had a better guy on the staff already (he did) in Zach
RHP - Chris Tillman, 22, nothing jumps out at you, but steady Britton. Still, it was risky, because Britton hadn't proven anything yet. Also,
you would think Johnson could have yielded a ton more than Weeks.
2010 - 3B Manny Machado, 18, is the third overall pick in the 2010 draft. Definitely a head scratcher.

2010 - Like most big league teams lately, the O's ride a roller coaster  2014 - The O's make another significant leap in performance, altho' it's for
throughout the decade. After very down 2010-2011, they have a nice five one year only. While the hitting stays the course, Baltimore yields 116
year run in a tough division, averaging 89 wins and making the post  less runs than they did in 2013, leading to an eleven game increase in the
season three times before severely crashing and burning at the end of  standings enabling the Orioles to win the Division. They beat the Tigers

2010 - Buck Showalter is hired on as manager in mid season. Buck is one of Zach Britton, 37 saves 1.65 ERA and half a dozen solid guys behind them.

2015 - righty Dylan Bundy, 23, a 2011 first round draft pick, is a rookie
2011 - Slugging first base prospect Chris Davis, 25, is obtained  from Texas
