  2010 - The Rockies are full of optimism entering the Twenty Teens. Outfield:  
   They made the playoffs two of the previous three seasons, going 92-70 Charlie Blackmon (18.15) -   73  
    in 2009. Unfortunately, things don't work out for Colorado. Carlos Gonzalez (21.81) -   68  
  They drop to third losing nine games in the standings in 2010 and Dexter Fowler (8.52) -   34  
   after that they drop into the cellar and have been at or near the Michael Cuddyer (4) -   15

   for 4 players in 2011  FA closer (41 saves) from KC made the big difference.  
   
    2011 - CF Charlie Blackmon, 24, debuts, 2nd round pick in 2008 draft 2018 - The Rockies make it to the wild card for a second season in a row.  
   They almost won the Division, but lost a playoff with the Dodgers, so they  
  2011 - 1B Willin Rosario, 22, debuts. IFA in 2006  had to settle for a wild card. Colorado knocked off the Cubs in the  
   wild card game before being swept by Milwaukee in the NLDS.  
  2012 - 2B DJ LeMahieu, 23 debuts with Colorado  
   obtained from Cubs in Ian Stewart steal of a deal  The 2018 season was pretty close to a carbon copy of 2017.   
     The Rockies scored 44 less runs and gave up 12 less.  
  2013 - 3B Nolan Arenado, 22, is a rookie. 2nd round pick in 2009 draft  Kyle Freeland, German Marquez and Jon Gray were again the top starters.  
   Former KC righty Wade Davis replaced another former KC righty   
  2015 - Ironically, just as Dan O'Dowd had begun assembling the best Greg Holland as closer. Holland had left as a free agent to the Cards,  
  group of talent in his fifteen year tenure, he resigns his post as GM in   Davis came in as a free agent from KC.

    2019 - Disaster. The Rockies drop 20 games in the standings going from Wild Card

  It was a deal that was supposed to jump start Colorado's farm system, There were two main culprits for the decline, their two best pitchers:

  in the minors who they saw as Tulowitzki's eventual replacement. □ Closer Wade Davis dropped from 43 saves to 15 with a 1-6 mark and 8.65 ERA  
   
  2016 - SS Trevor Story, 23, is a rookie. 1st round pick in 2011 draft.  2019 - The Wild Card finishes in 2017 and 2018 kept the decade from being a  
  total washout for Colorado. That being said, it wasn't pretty. There's no money,  
  2016 - LF David Dahl, 22, is a rookie. 10th overall pick in 2012 draft the GM's are not worthy, and the rarified air in Denver is a real problem.
