  2020 - Coming into the decade, the Royals were a mess. One of the worst MJ Melendez (-0.83) -  11

  bad records, but so far have had nothing to show for it. The farm system Notable Events:

  yielding high draft picks, before the team picks itself off the floor. 2024 - In a surprise, the Royals throw around a little money in the off season.  
    They pick the bones of the San Diego Padres for a couple of solid pieces for

  and it turns out that the change doesn't help as the Royals drop nine     
  games to 56-106. They are a bad team.
