  2020 -  After a promising '19 which saw the Mets win 86 games, a collapse Mark Canha (2.47) -  7  
  in the starting pitching saw them drop to 26-34 and fourth place in the Division. Harrison Bader (1) -  7  
  The Mets starting rotation in '19 had a combined 49-39 mark. In '20 it was 12-20 Tyrone Taylor (3.2) -  7

  The hitting overall remained a bit above league average in runs scored overall.  Notable Events:  
     
  □ There is finally some hope in Metland. Steve Cohen has taken ownership 2024 - The Mets saga for the last couple of years could be called

  2023 - The Mets bail at the trade deadline. Gone are Max Scherzer, with the Padres and Diamondbacks both better than the Mets, as well.  
  Justin Verlander, David Robertson  Soto helps, but this team, even with him, ain't championship callibre.  
       
  2023 - At the close of the season, the Mets contnue to bail, dumping    
  manager Buck Showalter for Carlos Mendoza and they dump    
   Billy Eppler for highly regarded Brewers GM David Stearns.
