  2000 - Bud Selig owns the club thru 2004. Milwaukee averages a 66-96 Ryan Braun (12.75) -   34
record during that period. Things improve once he sells to Mark Mike Cameron (6.11) -   24
Attanasio as the Brewers average 82-80 after the sale for the  Brady Clark (5.39) -   22
remainder of the decade. Corey Hart (6.55) -   22
  Scott Podsednik (4.11) -   20
2001 - Righthander Ben Sheets, 22, is a rookie. He was the tenth  Jeromy Burnitz (4.17) -   14
overall pick in the 1999 draft. Carlos Lee (3.18) -   13

2002 - Doug Melvin is hired on as GM. He is a big improvement over the Notable Events:
previous two GM's. New owner Mark Attanasio will keep Doug on after
the sale. Wise move. 2008 - Milwaukee wins ninety games and makes it to the post season,
losing to the Phillies in the NLDS. True to their history, the Brewers' power
2002 - 3B Bill Hall, 22, is a rookie. He was a 6th round pick in '98 bludgeons the opposition, but the pitching is just so so. The lineup of

CC Sabbathia that puts Milwaukee over the top. Sabbathia goes 11-2
2004 - OF Corey Hart, 22, is a rookie. He was an 11th round pick in 2000 and carries the Brewers on his back into the playoffs. CC bolts to the
Yankees in the offseason, something that surely rankled the commissioner.
2005 - 1B Prince Fielder, 21, is a rookie. He was the 7th overall pick
in the 2002 draft. A big time slugger for Milwaukee. 2008 -The difference between 2008 and the surrounding seasons was
the presence of ace Sabbathia. Milwaukee's offense had been
