  □ LHP Kyle Harrison, 24, '26 Trade from Boston, '25 0-0 3.00 2022 - Closer Josh Hader, 28, is dealt to the Padres at the trade deadline
LHP Robert Gasser, 27, '22 Trade from SD, '25 0-2 3.18 for four prospects. Hader is so good, he's not replacable.

Milwaukee traded ace Freddy Peralta. It wasn't quite the ballsy move you 2022 - David Stearns took over as GM in '15 and has presided over five

moving by replenishing with trades of star pitchers in their walk years. Matt Arnold took over as GM.
The good news is that they've got a lot of live young arms to choose from.  Stearns was hired by the Mets to be their GM after Stearns contract expired in '23
The bad news is that a team that expects to contend with a rotation that is
completely up in the air is a big risk. There's no guarantee that you'll get a 2024 - Stearns brought in Craig Counsell as his field manager in '15.

The bullpen is outstanding and is good enough to paper over the cracks Stearns and Counsell left the team in good hands with Arnold and Murphy

  □ OF Akil Baddoo, 27, '26 FA from Detroit, '25 0 1 .118
Christian Yelich has been a big stick in the middle of the lineup for years
and he can still hit. He probably has two or three more primo years left in him.
Jackson Chourio projects as a superstar but had a disappointing year in
that his performance leveled off from his rookie year. He's still a stud in
waiting. The Brewers scored a lot of runs last year but you sort of scratch
your head as to why. Yelich and Chourio were good but not great.
Contreras, Turang, Frelick and Vaughn were productive but that was it.
Doesn't seem to add up. There are a lot of good baserunners on the team
and you have to think that the Brewers have a knack for getting themselves
into scoring position. The Brewers have a good farm system, develop their
youngsters well and replenish young talent with smart trades. They have a
young club outside of Yelich and they've got several promising youngsters
who are poised within a year or two of contributing to the offense:
Jeferson Quero, Jett Willams, Jesus Made and Luis Pena all look promising.
