    1925 - Stan Coveleski is acquired from the Indians for basically  
  1920 - Clark Griffith and William Richardson buy a controlling nothing. He goes 20-5 and leads Washington to another World  
    interest of the Senators Series, but the Senators lose to the Pirates this time.  
       
  1921 - Goose Goslin, 20, joins Washington as a rookie. He will become 1925 - Second baseman Buddy Myer, 21, is obtained from New Orleans  
  a Hall of Fame outfielder. The Goose was obtained from Columbia.    
    1927 - Walter Johnson retires after the season.   
  1921 - Lefthander George Mogridge, 32, is obtained from the Yankees for    
  outfielder Braggo Roth. 1928 - With Walter Johnson gone and Goose Goslin permanently  
    injuring his arm, which didn't affect his hitting, but made him   
  1922 - Shortstop Roger Peckinpaugh, 31, is obtained from the Yankees useless in the field, the Senators streak of four straight
